How did "Natural" get made into such an important word? No answer, but it's in my head, and my fingers are doing some travelling...
We say "it's not Natural" and that means so much. Do we consider what we mean by that word.
Natural foods are better than what, unnatural ones? Almost everything we eat has been changed, effected, played with. Natural foods are supposed to be better for us?, though, and the other stuff isn't. But you'd think that we, being so informed, would know the things to eat and not to, and in what proportions. But we don't. We don't eat well, but we do no how to yell when it becomes apparent that all those years of decision making has brought us to obesity, diabetes, heart disease, kidney failure, etc. Time, who has the time? Somehow, everyone's lack of time has meant quicker food, not less. I was wondering about infrastructure. With one like ours we get companies that compete to make money off of us and we get fat, and with other infrastructures we get companies that compete to get rich and we get skinny. Both are equally malnourished, but they just look different, and have different diseases.
How is it that in the age of the internet and fingerspeed access we can still be swayed by invisible strings to moo in sync with ignorant things. If you have not valued your health for all of your life, why is it that your voice is so much louder, better amplified, clearer than mine? Money is a factor but it's not the only thing, the gap between the rich and poor isn't the only defining sting. A feeling of entitlement, a bridge of extremes, doesn't bring as much good as they wish it to seem. Feeding off our ignorance and building walls high, it shouldn't take so much to reveal the frailty of lies. But they appeal to a different section of the brain, more likely to strain when we hear good advice, but ignore it out of spite, less ready to think and more ready to fight. We are not victims, we have agency, we could work better together and find more ways to agree. Giving vocabulary to things is empowering to those who create when made by those effected and those who hate. The ones with no need for words to build their way, are often outversed much to their dismay. I started out this little segment with something on my mind, I think that it's significant, my fingers fall behind, I'll try to catch them up but for now they've been undermined.
P.S. ...Some people don't believe we can cause climate change. I have two reactions.
1. Really? You really don't think we can cause climate change?
2. What is the evidence and who provides it. Who is tricking who? Is it the same evidence being read differently by different people? I guess I need to read some more.
